Luna Viridis Cowl Kit | Pattern + Yarn

Perfect gift for the knitter in your life. Or, treat yourself with a ready-to-knit project!

This kit comes complete with a PDF copy of accomplished pattern designer Hilary Smith Callis' gorgeous, lacy cowl pattern, Luna Viridis, as well as one skein of our fingering weight Celeste yarn in your choice of colorway (color shown: Viridian). This is an intermediate level pattern which includes full-color photo tutorials of techniques used.

Luna Viridis is a gorgeous, deeply textured cowl. It begins as a semi-circular shawl with a Stockinette Stitch center worked flat, and is then joined and worked in the round to create a circular piece that mimics a shawlette wrapped around the neck. Little green crescent moons adorn the cowl, encircling the majority of it, and are separated by simple bands of Garter Stitch. Using just one skein of yarn, this is a fun knit, and a great way to add a pop of color and texture to any outfit.

Required Needle (not included in kit):
US 6 (4 mm) circular needle, 16-24”/ 40-60 cm long

24 sts & 30 rows = 4”/ 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch
24 sts & 42 rows = 4”/ 10 cm in Lunar Crescent patterns
22 sts & 42 rows = 4”/ 10 cm in Garter Stitch
Meeting these exact gauges is not crucial, but any major differences will affect the size of the finished cowl.

Knit to gauge, this cowl will measure 19”/ 48.5 cm circumference at top opening; 15.5”/ 39.5 cm height at center.

Please note:
Yarn will be dyed to order. Please allow up to 10 business days for dyeing.  If choosing a custom colorway, please choose Other from the pull-down color option menu and be sure to indicate your color choice in the Note to Luna Grey Fiber Arts box at checkout.
