This kit comes complete with a PDF copy of New Zealand pattern designer Abbey Morris's lovely shawl pattern, Wings of an Autumn Moth, as well as one or two skeins (depending upon size of shawl chosen) of hand dyed, superwash merino wool, fingering weight Celeste yarn in your choice of colorway (color shown: Enchanted). This is an intermediate/advanced pattern which includes both written and charted directions.
Inspired by a pair of moth wings, Wings of an Autumn Moth is a top-down, semi-circular shawl. The majority of the body is knit in stockinette stitch making it fairly quick to knit. The combination of lace and cables within the edge, transforms the simple body into a stunning shawl. Depending on how you block it, it can be finished with a scalloped edge or a pointed one (as shown) creating detail.
