This kit comes complete with a PDF copy of accomplished pattern designer Sara Gresbach's beautiful colorwork pattern, the Lodgepole Hat, as well as two skeins of our light worsted weight Calypso yarn in your choice of colorways (colors shown: Honeycomb & Nautical Blue). This hat would make an excellent first colorwork project.  The colorwork portion of the pattern includes charted directions. 

In the designer's words..."A timelessly classic tree motif makes a fresh statement on this simple color-work hat.  The companion to the Lodgepole Cowl, written for 3 sizes and suitable for both genders."

Small/Child (Medium/Woman, Large/Man).
Finished measurements: 18 (20, 22)" 46 (51, 56)cm
To Fit Head Circumference: 18-20 (21-22, 23+)" 46-51 (53-56, 58+) cm
Required Needles (not included in kit): 
US #7 (4.5 mm) 16” (40cm) circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge 
US #5 (3.75mm) 16” (40cm) circular needle or 2 sizes smaller than gauge needle (for ribbing) 
US #7 DPN's
Additional Materials Needed (not included in kit): 
1 stitch marker for marking end of round 
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
A row counter is helpful, but not necessary
Gauge: 
6 stitches and 6 rows = 1 inch in stockinette/colorwork in the round
Important:
If choosing a custom colorway, please choose Other from the pull-down color option menu and be sure to indicate your color choice in the Note to Luna Grey Fiber Arts box at checkout.

Yarn will be dyed to order. Please allow 7 - 10 business days for custom dyeing.

Due to new international tax laws, pattern files will no longer be available as automatic PDF file downloads at checkout.  Rather, a PDF file of your knitting pattern will be emailed within 24 hours of checkout.  Please ensure that your email address is correctly entered during the checkout process.  Pattern may be added to your Ravelry pattern library upon request.
